- Aberdeen Chorus is Heading for Kansas City!

In May 2023 the Aberdeen Chorus competed in the Sweet Adelines International Region 31 Chorus Contest which was held at the University of Warwick.
The high score acheived secured them a wild card to qualify for the Sweet Adelines International contest to be held in October 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.
This is a very exciting opportunity but comes at a high price so we will be fundraising for the next 15 months to raise funds to help cover some of our costs.

In May 2023 the Aberdeen Chorus competed in the UK and Netherlands Regional Contest of Sweet Adelines International and were delighted to be placed 2nd!
The high score acheived has qualified them to compete in the International contest to be held in Kansas City, Missouri in October 2024.

As spring approaches, the Aberdeen Chorus steps up their preparation for the annual contest.
Each year, choruses and quartets from around the UK and Netherlands gather to compete to be the champion chorus of our region. This will be the first contest for Aberdeen since the COVID break as last year, although we attended the Convention, we did not enter the main contest.
The contest takes place this year at the University of Warwick in Coventry on Saturday 13th May.

Chorus rehearsals resume for 2023 on Monday 9th January at Curl Aberdeen. We will be beginning our preparation for our annual competition in May where we will compete against other choruses from the UK and The Netherlands at the University of Warwick campus near Coventry.
Please contact us if you would like to come along to our rehearsal to find out about what we do and if you would like to join us. We are particularly looking for women with low voices!
